Here it is! The official RSVP for the Burnaby Pug Group's Annual Tide Pool Pugs at Spanish Banks off leash dog beach area.
Please Read all of the info below for details and important note regarding parking.
Bring the pugs… and/or any small sized dog, and come join the fun.

This is a very casual low key event where we just gather at a the dog beach and stroll out onto the sand. Bring whatever items you require for a beach adventure. It is an off leash dog beach area. It's an event to gather with our pugs and socialize and enjoy the beach.

Bring beach chairs and towels, picnic... etc. and spend some time at the Off-leash beach area at Spanish Banks. Come for an hour or stay the whole day, there is no time limit. I have set the event for 2 hours based on the lowest tide but anyone can spend as much time as they like; It is an open event; It's a public dog park.

According to tide charts it will be a low tide of 3.1 feet at approx. 10am, a great opportunity to venture out... far out onto the ocean floor while wadding thru the little tide pools.

Bring your own snacks, drinks, towels, chairs and beach shoes etc. Whatever items you require for the beach. The area is equipped with washrooms and snack stand that is located further down the beach.

*****Beach shoes or some form of water proof foot wear is recommended at the entrance to the water as it is a bit rocky, once you get past this point it is just sand and tide pools. *****

As this year's event is scheduled for 9:45am getting a parking spot should not difficult around that time of day. Plan appropriately. NOTE: IT IS NOW PAY PARKING. I HAVE HEARD IT IS APPROX. $4-5 AN HOUR. PAYMENT IS MADE VIA THE PARKING APP. It is best to park in the last parking lot (lot B) of Spanish Banks beach area and walk West, towards the end of the last lot towards the beach.

• PLEASE NOTE THAT PARTICIPATION IN ANY OF THE PUG MEETS IS AT THE PARTICIPANTS OWN RISK. THE MEETS ARE HELD AT PUBLIC DOG PARKS WITHIN THE CITY AND THE BURNABY PUG GROUP IS NOT RESPONSIBLE ANY INCIDENTS THAT COULD TAKE PLACE DURING THE MEETS.
